Divestment or engagement, what is the most effective method for investors concerned about ESG issues to have an impact? The question is still debated. Ethos is organising on October 6 in Geneva, as part of the 2022 edition of the Building Bridges conference, a debate with a panel of specialists around the question of shareholder engagement and its effectiveness for decarbonising not only the investment portfolios but also and especially the real economy.

Ethos and Raiffeisen extend their collaboration in the field of shareholder dialogue

The Ethos Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary

Since its creation on 2 February 1997, the Ethos Foundation has often played a pioneering role in Switzerland, whether it was to raise awareness among financial players of ethical issues, to promote best practices in governance or to change the environmental and social practices of companies. 

2021 General meetings of the Ethos Foundation and Ethos Services

The annual general meetings of the Ethos Foundation and Ethos Services SA were held this Thursday morning. All the items on the agenda were approved by the members of the foundation and the shareholders of the company. In the afternoon, an online conference dedicated to climate risks for pension funds brought together more than 130 participants within days of a crucial vote on the revision of the Swiss CO2 act.

Climate change: what are the risks for pension funds and the means available to manage them?

The Ethos Foundation is organising on Thursday 10 June a 100% online conference-debate open to all on the risks associated with climate change for investor. The event takes place three days before the Swiss population votes on the Federal Act on the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (CO2 Act). The main means of action and the consequences of the new law for investors will also be a discussion topic.

Ethos and BCV to pool their expertise in sustainable finance

Ethos Foundation, which specialises in socially responsible investing (SRI), and BCV, Switzerland’s fifth-largest universal bank, have entered into a long-term strategic partnership through which they will offer sustainable investment products. In the first phase, six Ethos funds will be managed by BCV’s Asset Management department.
